“Can we launch a sage coach movement?”

Aging changes you.

Not just the way you look, but how you think and feel about life. It can make you (and those you serve) bitter or better. On so many levels and in so many ways, the reasons for one’s aging are summed up in a rediscovery of WHY we are bearers of wisdom and life experience in our family, church and the world.

With so much “smoldering wood” in today’s church, does God want to light a flame in our hearts again? Is it possible those now in life’s “second half” or “final third” have been chosen for this present time and place to be a powerful part of God’s divine plan? Can you inspire Christ followers who are at midlife and beyond in age to launch a “sage coach” movement in your church?

Pete thinks so.

Meet Pete.

Some think just landing at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago is enough to change your attitude on life, much less being born and raised in this mega mid-western metropolis. Dr. Pete is a unique product of Chicago, growing up there and eventually graduating from the University of Illinois, School of Dentistry. Pete’s 23-year dental career includes private practice, the U.S. Army, and a mission hospital in Kenya, East Africa. He subsequently served for 20 years as the outreach pastor of a church in suburban Denver, CO. Pete is now a writer and publisher, focusing on intergenerational and aging issues. His books include The Intergenerational Church and the CASA Network Aging Well Bible Study Series.

Pete Menconi helps rediscover the unique WHY of attitude in leadership:

In his second presentation as part of our Conference Workshop Collection, Pete’s topic will be: You and the Other Generations. There can be up to four generations in the same family or attending the same church. These generations often do not understand each other well. Pete helps us look at the characteristics of each generation and how we can be better and do better in our families, churches and communities as a result.
