I’m often asked about my reading habits and what I read. One word fits my reading habits best—eclectic. I always have several books open and read from different genres throughout the week. Here are some of the books I’ve been reading since last summer. (I’ve marked Christian books with an asterisk.)

I read fiction as well as nonfiction, popular and otherwise, usually just before retiring in the late evening. A good story is a pleasant gift, and it is one of the ways I am able to study writing styles and storytelling techniques.Writers learn from other writers and from having written.

Some of these are writers with whom I am personally acquainted. Many I am not. What about you? Tell me what are you reading of late?

WHOO! Mentioned TWICE! And in such company! I am awed and humbled. My list is much shorter and includes a lot of “required” reading, some of which is actually worthwhile. I just finished a book concerning child abuse that I have already passed along and thus can’t give the exact title. A valuable tool. Thanks, Ward, for raising a high bar.
