If you know the story of Job, you know it’s not easy to hear.
It appears in the Bible, the Qur’an, and the Hebrew Scriptures—a timeless tale of a good man stripped of everything when God allows Satan to test his faith—wealth, family, health—gone. Yet somehow, faith endures.

I’ve often wondered about that story.
What would it look like now, in our own age of comfort and conflict?
Could it happen again—to one of us?

Some of you may remember Pastor John Cain and his family from September Strike and Prize Child, the first two books in my new series, The Cain Family Thrillers.
They lived through their own season of testing—a time of terror and loss that pressed them to the edge of despair.
It’s been five years since then. The world has grown quiet. So have they.
John’s back in his pulpit, helping others rebuild what Evil once tried to destroy.

But quiet isn’t the same as peace.
The Dark One—never truly gone—waits in the silence, patient as shadow.

And so we come to another place—another story.
Far from Cain’s pulpit, in the rugged highlands of Cappadocia, near the Turkish village of Kilçilar.
An excavation.
An underground city.
And the discovery of something long buried beneath earth and stone—fragments of faith soon to be known simply as The Kilçilar Letters.

Their content and signature drew four people to Kilçilar: Jeremy Cain, Kris and Katrina Lauring, and a Turkish archaeologist named Ibrahim Sevali.
Each bears a wound. Each will be tested.
And each will discover that the family of God reaches far beyond bloodlines, borders, and beliefs.

Together they’ll descend beneath the earth’s surface—to encounter transforming love, ancient beauty, and modern-day terror.
And the truth of a secret forgotten even by Satan himself.

Truth with power enough to change the world forever.

Join me and four of my “new best friends” at Kilçilar. Let’s enjoy the adventure of story.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:31-32 ESV.
